Support CFL Students during “Day of the Badger” 2026

It’s that time of year again- rain is falling, flowers are blooming, and it’s UW-Madison’s “Day of the Badger.” This annual fundraising campaign is your chance to support the Center for Limnology. Your generosity during this event directly funds student research fellowships both at Hasler Lab in Madison and up north at Trout Lake Station. Our Student Support Fund gives students valuable and unparalleled experiences in limnology and helps train the next generation of freshwater researchers.

Don’t take our word for it, read how 2025 summer fellow Kayla Bain’s position was “one of the coolest experiences of my life.”

This year, we are exceedingly fortunate to have a generous donor who will match all gifts up to $30,000. In other words, every dollar raised – up to $30,000 – will be matched 1:1, essentially doubling your donation!

If you help us reach our goal of $30,000, the match elevates us to a record-smashing $60,000. With this, we will fund eight life-changing research experiences for promising young scientists this summer.

We are grateful for any amount you can give and for your support of the work we do.

On, Wisconsin!
